July 2, 2020 : Luna enters Sagittarius and Retrograde Saturn re-enters Capricorn - don't be a Grinch
welcome to episode 12 of the second season of kristo's astrology...
here's my reading of the Zeitgeist for Thursday, July 2nd, 2020
**all times reported here are in UTC-0 (Universal Coordinated Time) or GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)... please adjust according to your own Time Zone... if you're not sure about the time zone difference, you can find that here: Time Zone Map
Retrograde Saturn (in his Quincunx to the Dragon’s Head) re-enters Capricorn @12:39 AM UTC-0 / GMT
so here's the deal... it's a little bit complicated, so let's take it a step at a time...
when Saturn made it's first Coniunctio to Pluto in Capricorn in just over 500 years, all I could predict at the time was that we were in for a transformative ordeal that would affect all of us...
you see, 500 years ago, when it last happened, Martin Luther triggered a cultural upheaval in Western Europe that led to a second major schism in Christianity...
now, it has always been my experience that Saturn transits involve physical illness or pain of some sort...
but Pluto transits are even worse, because they put us between a rock and a hard place... forcing us to adapt to the new situation in ways we would normally consider un-thinkable...
and the influence of a Pluto transit can extend for nearly 5 years...
and that's due to Pluto's slow nature and its back and forth motion over the position of a natal planet...
when Saturn is the transiting planet (as it is in this case), the influence can be drawn out by its direct and retrograde alternations, but it rarely lasts more than 8 to 10 months...
and so that's what we have now...
Saturn is slowly making his way back towards a Coniunctio with Pluto, except it's not going to get all that close...
what we're experiencing now are echoes of that direct Conjunction from January 12th...
in fact, the lead-up to the Coniunctio was very brief — as the influence only began around December 7th...
and by influence I mean a 3 degree orb... other astrologers probably measure planetary influences differently using either wider or more narrow orbs...
I'm sticking with 3 degrees because that's my intuitive preference...
the important point here is that Saturn's influence will peak on Sept. 29th, when it turns Direct again, and then the whole enchilada will be over for good when Saturn snaps the rubber band and leaves the 3 degree orb of influence around October 14th...
for my money, the covid crisis will be over right around that time...
the ordeal of transformation it required of us will also have been resolved...
the only thing we can't predict is how it will be resolved because that's a matter for each of us individually...
there's no guarantee that we, and our governments, will have made the best choice or choices...
and that's the point of free will...
because astrology may predict an influence, but it can never take your free will away and predict how you're going to respond to that influence...
On Sept 11, Retrograde Saturn comes back within 3˚orb of Pluto, so expect a mild heightening of the covid ordeal between September 11th and September 29th, followed by a rapid waning of the influence until we finally leave it in the rear view mirror on October 14th...
Saturn will re-enter Aquarius on December 17th... and that will be the day we realize how different things are going to be going forward...
okay...
deep breath...
Scorpio Luna completes yesterday's Yod with Saturn and the Dragon’s Head by reaching a Sextile to Saturn @2:20 AM, and then goes Void of Course for 1 minute
feel free to worry about the unpleasant implications of the timeline I've just laid out...
but you've only got 1 minute to do so...
Luna enters Sagittarius @2:21 AM
hey, when the Moon is in Sagittarius, you've got to be a real Grinch to fret and brood...
just expect to feel upbeat and enthused...
Luna Trines Mars @6:35 AM
this is an astrologic stimulus check...
expect an infusion of energy and drive to spend on whatever personal project you choose...
Luna BiQuintiles Cancer Mercury (in his/ her Coniunctio to Sol, Sextile to Taurean Uranus, and Square to Aries Chiron) @7:32 AM
time for a little comic relief...
this is pretty much an astrologic edition of the late, great Mad Magazine...
Luna BiQuintiles Sol @10:47 AM
this feels more like an astrologic edition of Whitman...
Luna Opposes unaspected Gemini Venus @1:02 PM
it's time to write your own poetry...
or whatever you prefer pouring your creativity into...
hey, all art is really poetry... (although the same can't be said in reverse)
Luna begins a Yod (with Sol, Mercury and Uranus) with a Quincunx to Mercury @5:20 PM
okay, okay... you're not happy with what you've just done...
oh for goodness sakes...! that's why it's called a crappy first draft...
Luna Trines Chiron @6:20 PM
time to call in the script doctor...
and that just means tincture of time in this instance...
this is not the moment to edit...
save that for tomorrow...
Luna intensifies that Yod with a Quincunx to Uranus @7:13 PM
yes, first drafts really do expose all your faults and imperfections...
they also help you to bare your soul...
Luna completes the Yod with a Quincunx to Sol @9:45 PM
time to give yourself a break...
hey — creativity is a roller coaster...
if its not, you're probably not being creative...
without lows like this whatever you're doing is just plain flat...
