Scorpio Ascendant
When I do my own astrology chart I come up with a 0 degree ascendant
and it confuses me as to where my houses are and what actually goes where.
My birthday is 4/25/57 Pittsburgh PA, written down at 6:38 EST. I was wondering
if your interpretation of the chart is a Scorpio or Libra rising? I clearly
see myself having both characteristics of the ascendant. However, when I
interpret my own chart I can get lost. Any insight you may have would be
appreciated. Is it Scorpio or Libra? Thank you.
The chart for 6:38 PM has more than just a simple Scorpio Ascendant...it has Neptune in Scorpio Conjuct that Ascendant making it a very strange conceptual placement. I mean...what could possibly be indicated by such a powerful persona...? (which is what the Ascendant tends to symbolize). I can imagine such a person constantly dressed in gypsy garb, enshrouded in incense and half hiding behind an enormous crystal ball. The idea of Esmeralda, the young gypsy girl with her goat, Djali, from the Victor Hugo novel comes to mind as well.
Whatever the outward appearance...the fact that the Dragon's Heard is in Scorpio and within the 1st house amplifies its already extreme importance. The Intuitive function is meant to be more than just a costume for this querent...it represents the cutting edge of her consciousness...and consequently...where the hidden treasure of her life is to be found.
