learning to swim...

age: 49
gender: female

Hi, I really can't get my head above water financially, I don't know what I am doing wrong, any end date in sight for this?

Yes, today.

Learning how to swim financially isn’t much different from learning how to keep your head above real water.
For some, “Sink or Swim” works just fine.
But this is definitely not you.
Somebody taught you to panic...but whoever that was thought that there was a lifeguard on duty.
They forgot to point that out to you.

Regardless, it’s not too late to start at the shallow end of the pool.
All you have to do is to stop acting panicked.
Like Now!
And once you put a stop to that, you can actually stop feeling panicked.
That will help you to find your way back into the shallows.

Once you’re back at the shallow end, you’re going to have to learn how to swim...so getting a teacher helps.
I’d recommend this one: Control Your Cash: Making Money Make Sense.

After that, stay out of bookstores...online or otherwise!!
It’s okay to keep those Baywatch DVDs, though.
